Open and Praecise Furcate
Like a distribution and its company
Furcate is open. Praecise Furcate is Furcate for production.
The line is drawn twice. Anything that makes a trust claim is open, because a claim nobody can read is not a claim. And everything a person needs to run their own machines is open, because a home lab should not need a contract. What production fleets need out of the box is Praecise Furcate.

Side by side
One system, two ways to run it.
The open half is not a demo, and Praecise Furcate is not a fork.
Praecise Furcate is built from the same repository as Furcate OS. The boundary is a directory, a test fails the build if anything crosses it, and the default build compiles the open half alone.
